The .profile command

Hi to all my dear friends and visitors of this blog. UNIX allows us to create our own environment. Some environmental variables like HOME, LOGNAME are set as soon as we login in the profile file. The other variables can be set. This file is similar to the autoexec.bat file in DOS. If this has to be executed, then it must exist in or Home directory.
